Today, Spain is still one of the most favoured holiday destinations for people who live in the UK. However, rather than staying in hotels more and more people are choosing to rent holiday villas in Spain instead. Not only can it work out much less expensive but also you have more freedom to do as you please during your stay in this warm and exciting country.
Yet when it comes to finding the right villa for your holiday, you have a choice of either arranging it through an agent or by finding one for yourself. There are many advantages and disadvantages to be had from booking through an agent rather than booking it yourself and we look at what some of these are below.
1. One advantage to be had from booking a villa through an agent you will find that you have a much wider selection of villas and locations to choose from. All you have to do is explain to the agent what kind of villa it is you want to rent and they will then do the rest.
2. Another benefit of using an agent is that they may actually be able to help arrange all your flights and car hire as well. This makes the whole process of booking your next holiday to this warm and inviting country much more enjoyable and effortless.
3. Look for those agents who will have either an office or a representative close to where you property is situated. Then you will know that there is someone to hand you the keys upon your arrival and also show you around the villa and explain just how everything in it works.
4. One of the biggest disadvantages to be had from using the services of an agent over finding your own holiday villa to rent is the fees. Many agents will also include a commission fee on to the actual rental price of the property in some cases it can be as much as or more than 25% of the rental charge. Unfortunately these are not always going to be the kinds of agents who offer their clients a great service and the necessary back up should any problems arise.
5. Also there are some agents who advertise properties for rent in Spain and who have never actually visited the properties they have available. This means that they will not be able to provide you with important information regarding where you are staying and what local amenities and facilities are available to you.
It is important if you are going to be using any agent for booking holiday villas in Spain through that you spend your time carrying out a little research before hand. If you can contact each one in turn and ask them for details of those properties that you are interested in and any other information that they can provide and which they feel is essential.
