Want to lengthen your drive and improve your golf game?
Here are 5 basic but essential tips to improving your sing on the golf course-
1. Try to learn proper swing mechanics from golf swing instruction books or on the internet. It doesn’t take much time to read about the perfect golf swing and realize the flaws in your swing. A little bit of time put into the research goes a long way to improving your golf swing techniques.
2. It pays to take a few professional lessons after you have learnt the proper swing mechanics from a book or the internet. Golf pros are there to iron out the problem areas in your swing.
3. A great drill to cure a golf slice - hit the golf balls with your feet and knees touching each other whilst making normal, real golf swings. Everything else stays the same. It’s a great way to feel the arms swing away from the body. And they aren’t connected to it when you turn into it with the left shoulder. The arms are free to swing past you and you don’t have to worry about the body. You can even play golf that way.
4. A golf swing with minimal wrist action will always be easier to time than a John Daly type swing. Reducing and controlling your wrist cock will immediately improve your ball striking and put you closer to the perfect golf swing.
5. A shorter arm swing is always easier to control than the overswing that most players swing with. Keeping your arm swing short of the point where it forces your head and upper body out of position will get you closer to the perfect golf swing.
Although the tips above are basic, there are the most often overlooked ways to correct your golf swing. Simple things can make a big difference. The easier it is, the better your golf swing. This is how to improve your golf swing.
