Over time Mexico has developed to be one of the most popular destinations for tourists to visit. However before you set off on your trip to Mexico, there are several things that you will need to know. By finding out the secrets of travelling to the country, you will then be properly prepared for your vacation and you will then likely have a better time on your holiday.
What to Consider When Taking Tours
Just so that you have the best possible experience when you are in Mexico, here you will find some of the best tips to get you through. Some by opinion are fairly obvious and some will be completely new to you. The first tip that will really help you to get around Mexico is to learn the language.
The main language that is spoken in Mexico is Spanish and whilst some residents do speak English, mainly you will need to be able to talk in Spanish. Learning the local language is always a good idea as it does tend to be one of the biggest barriers when it comes to travelling abroad. It would be a good idea to carry around an English/Spanish dictionary if you are not too confident with your ability to speak Spanish.
Another thing that you should remember is to carry around some photo ID with you. A tourist card shows that you have been granted access into the country and you may be required to present it at some point during your stay. There are also a few documents that need to be shown before you actually enter Mexico whether driving across the US border or arriving on flights from Malaga.
As with all countries, there are things that you can and cannot take into Mexico with you. You can take things such as personal clothing, toiletries and books and magazines. You can also take things such as skiing equipment and three litres of alcoholic drinks. Up to 400 cigarettes can also be taken with you and you cannot take more than twelve rolls of film for the camera.
In order to gain access into Mexico you will need to fill out two simple forms. You will need a black pen for these forms and they are given to you at the counter in the airline or sometimes whilst you are on the plane. The first form is to grant you a temporary visa and the second form is for the customs and taxation which are known as “Hacienda”.
Finally it would be a good idea to ensure that you have plenty of money with you exchanged to the local currency. However you can usually use credit cards such as MasterCard and Visa whilst you are there.
Overall travelling to Mexico can be a fascinating experience just as long as you know all of the secrets to travelling safely whilst you are there.
