Which Are The Best Hotels in Havana?
Written by on July 2nd, 2009One of Havana?s best places to stay is the Old Town commonly known as Habana Vieja. This area has a wealth of heritage building which earned the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984.
One of my favourite hotels in Havana has to be Santa Isabel Hotel located in the very place where Havana was founded almost 500 years ago. It is very cozy and intimate as it house only 27 rooms of which 4 are Junior Suites with beautiful terraces over looking Plaza de Armas.
Saratoga Hotel is probably one of the few hotels in Havana that deserve a 5 star category. From the roof top swimming pool you can admire the splendor of the Old Town while relaxing on a sun bed. This hotel has 96 rooms divided in suites, junior suites and deluxe patio rooms.
NH Parque Central is another 5 star hotel in the old town that I like to recommend particularly for its high standard of service and excellent food. This hotel is also located in Paseo del Prado Promenade and it was erected over the ruins of a collapsed building about 10 years ago.
There are lots of very good hotels in the Old Town that I also like to recommend like Florida, Condes de Villa Nueva and Raquel Hotel and little but very cozy hostels like Valencia, Comendador and Beltran de Santa Cruz.
This is it for today I hope to have given you a comprehensive list of the best hotels to stay in Havana. If you require further detailed information such as pictures, description, facilities and prices you can visit www.quest2cuba.co.uk
